The old university town of Tübingen is situated on the southern outskirts of the "Schönbuch" nature park, some 35 kilometres from Stuttgart. The picturesque Old Town with its town hall, small alleyways and broad pedestrian area attracts tourists from all over the world. Trace the footsteps of the poet Friedrich Hölderlin and visit the places where Hegel, Uhland, Schelling, Mörike and Kepler were once active. Fans of Hermann Hesse will enjoy visiting the publisher's and book shop "Heckenhauer", where the writer completed his training.
